GLOWY GREEN SMOOTHIE
Did you know orange and yellow fruits/vegetables are packed with a ton of beneficial nutrients, vitamins and minerals for GLOWY skin?
• Vitamin C which aids in boosting your immune system, helps to promote collagen formation and rebuilds collagen in skin, and helps protect against cardiovascular health and heart, disease.
• Beta-carotene is the most well known nutrient in orange colored foods and is a powerful antioxidant that protects skin from sun damage and potential damage from the sun’s rays.
• Vitamin A is important for night vision and is crucial in the health of your immune system. As an antioxidant, Vitamin A can neutralize the damaging free radicals in the body. It is also commonly referred to as retinol, and retinoic acid.
Orange and yellow foods also contain lots of fiber, potassium, flavonoids and phytonutrients that are not only good for GLOWY skin but also help to decrease your risk of cancer and heart disease as well.
Ingredients
3/4 cup frozen mango
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
1/4 cup frozen pineapple
1/4 cup frozen peaches
large handful of spinach, kale or any greens you have available
Liquid: Fill with 1/2 cup coconut water or coconut milk and 1/2 cup with filtered water (using all filtered water works great too) . You may also want to add more liquid as needed.
*Place all ingredients in blender and bled until smooth
